If you are disabled and under 18 and need permanent care your primary caregiver can apply for SASSA Care Dependency Grant. Even if you don’t have an ID an affidavit can be used as proof of identity for Department of Home Affairs verification. When will SASSA Disability grant be reviewed?

When will SASSA Disability Grant be lapsed and suspended?
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) may suspend or lapse the Disability Grant under specific circumstances:
Suspension of the Grant:
Your grant may be suspended if:

Additionally, if you’re admitted to a state institution under contract with the state, your grant is reduced to 25% of the maximum amount starting from the fourth month of admission. This reduced grant is reinstated immediately upon your discharge.
